RAKUGO SHOW

What is Rakugo?

Rakugo, a traditional Japanese performing art, was born about 400 years ago among the common people.
Not only is it a funny solo act in which one person plays several roles, but it is also a unique comedy art in the world in that it is performed sitting down, without using any stage sets, and all props are expressed with a hand towel and fan.
In addition to rakugo, there are daily performances of Japanese magic tricks and daikagura (Japanese juggling), and traditional Japanese instruments such as shamisen, taiko, and flute are played live as accompaniment.
The performance will be subtitled in three languages: English, Chinese and Korean.
Starting in July, performances will be held every Tuesday.
